The Bethesda Urban Partnership is looking for a Public Space Operations Manager to join their growing team.  The Bethesda Urban Partnership handles landscaping and maintenance as well as promotion of the downtown through innovative marketing campaigns and large-scale events.

The Public Space Operations Manager is responsible for the daily management and operations of the landscape and streetscape maintenance and hospitality teams that are tasked with making downtown Bethesda a clean, safe and inviting place to live, work and visit. The position is responsible for the training, scheduling and oversight of all the Field Operations employees.

• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the field of landscape management, downtown management or a related field.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Possession of, or the ability to obtain in the first 6 months of employment, a Maryland Pesticide Applicators License, a Maryland Fertilizers Applicator License and a Maryland Tree Expert License. All costs associated with obtaining the required licenses will be reimbursed.
• Strong written and communication skills, with a high level of customer service experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates that possess a degree in horticulture, landscape management or a related field.
