Overview

Large Regional Title and Settlement Group is looking for a Marketing and Business Development Representative to support their Chantilly, VA corporate office. The Marketing and Business Development Representative is a forward-thinking, action-oriented business development specialist, providing accurate information regarding competitors, pricing, demographics, trends, and opportunities with a focus on increasing revenue and growing market share. This position is a corporate resource, assigned to support a region or multiple branch offices. Develop business opportunities through networking, marketing events, and creative sales solutions. Implement marketing and sales plans and utilizes promotional materials and effectively communicates company messaging. Actively partner with the company charities and local branches as assigned to create co-marketing opportunities and continue to strengthen the company brand and increase awareness of the company. Host events and develop and deliver sales presentations. Participate in companywide marketing events. Use marketing expertise and local market knowledge to generate ideas and help direct strategy and planning for promotional materials, sale tactics, and other sales and marketing activities. May coordinate involvement and participate in conferences, exhibitions, and marketing seminars.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions: The qualified candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position either with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Drive revenue by capturing new business resulting in additional revenue streams. Support marketing and sales initiatives with content, leads generation, social media, SEO, website, and events and through other business development research.
  • Help to maintain current revenue streams through collaboration with local management, the corporate office, and providing outstanding client service.
  • Assess and analyze markets to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Present findings to the management team to help guide direction and activities.
  • Brainstorm and develop successful sales strategies and tactics based on assessment of assigned target markets and overall company direction.
  • Partner with the Corporate Management Team to come up with branding ideas, advertising copy, graphic designs, and promotional materials as assigned.
  • Work with the Corporate Management Team to identify the appropriate media channels where each product or service’s marketing materials can be delivered to the public.
  • Ensure compliance with company’s brand marketing guidelines throughout each product to create a cohesive feel to each campaign.
  • Participate in efforts to raise brand awareness and strengthen branch image across markets via engagement in the company Charitable Giving Program
  • Provide direction and insight to staff and management throughout each assigned project or campaign. Act as a go-to resource for up-to-date, accurate research and market information.
  • Track results of efforts closely and provide feedback to management.
  • Adjust marketing plans as needed.
  • Report findings and results to upper management and executives.f
  • Maintain industry knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing related publications; establishing networks.
  • Prepare information by collecting and reviewing data, inputting, editing, retrieving, text and graphics and sending correspondence as needed/directed.
  • Occasional after-hours attendance at Marketing/Business Development events required.
  • Frequent travel may be required across company regional footprint.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field (or equivalent experience to meet requisite skill level).
  • Three years of related marketing experience, which includes a minimum of one year in the title/settlement or real estate industry.
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrable business development skills.
  • Good driving record required.

  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Often standing and entertaining or presenting to clients or prospects. Also, in a sitting position located in a professional clerical office setting in a controlled temperature environment. Will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to regularly talk or hear, lift 20 pounds, stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms frequently, bend and stoop when necessary to complete job duties. Must have good driving record, reliable transportation, and ability to travel across company regional footprint.
