The Social Impact Fund (SIF) is a rapidly growing nonprofit dedicated to providing fiscal sponsorship to leading and emerging philanthropists within the entertainment and creative communities, and beyond. SIF currently has over 30 fiscally sponsored organizations and donor-advised funds, and we expect to continue our rapid expansion and growth. About the Position

SIF is seeking a Program Manager (PM). This new position will play a vital role at our organization, focusing on the management of a portfolio of fiscally sponsored programs and donor-advised funds, and includes client service in programming, financial reporting, grants management, and other nonprofit activities.

The salary range for this role is $70K - $75K, based on experience.

This position’s duties range from high-level to administrative. This position reports to the Executive Director (ED) and works closely with the SIF accountant and project leaders.

The main job responsibilities include:

• Program Management
  • Manage a portfolio of fiscally sponsored initiatives, and includes answering program questions, resolve challenges, reviewing financial statements, processing expenditure requests
  • Perform as expert point-of-contact for SIF partner programs, and act as key representative of SIF
  • Coordinate funding proposals and applications; track funder reporting schedules and guidelines
  • Manage grant making processing
  • Assist with onboarding of new programs to SIF
  • Assist with sunsetting programs out of SIF
• Financial & Business Development
  • Manage financial record-keeping as assigned by ED
  • Manage tracking of potential programs and handle general inquiries to SIF
  • Manage accounts payables functions with accounting staff
  • Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting
• Other job responsibilities include:
  • Assist with other administrative functions related to running a growing organization
  • Represent SIF to external audiences
  • Assist with strategy and planning for future growth
  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2-3 years of experience in a nonprofit environment, preferably with an emphasis on fiscal sponsorship and project management
• Prioritizing the highest standards in customer service
• Expertise in two or more of the following: programming, grant making, compliance, accounting and/or administration
• Financial literacy: able to interpret financial reports and have a solid understanding of accounting and budgeting
• Understanding the sensitivities working with high-profile partners and programs
• A high degree of accuracy, organization and attention to detail
• High level of proficiency with Word and Excel and experience with a variety of web-based software and fundraising platforms.
• A passion for working in the nonprofit sector; particularly working with social entrepreneurs and start-up initiatives.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Organizational Relationships

The PM will interact most closely with sponsored program leads and representatives, leaders in philanthropy and fiscal sponsorship, accounting personnel and other project-specific entities. The PM will also interact with philanthropy leaders addressing issues that span the spectrum of progressive movements and will routinely deal with sensitive subject matters. The PM will work closely with SIF’s Executive Director, the SIF Board, program staff, grantees, and contractors.

Location/Hours/Schedule

The Social Impact Fund is a remote-based organization, with its primary location in Los Angeles. While the Program Manager may not be in Los Angeles, we hope to identify candidates in Southern California.

Full-time (40 hours per week). Schedule is generally Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm Pacific Time, but is somewhat flexible.

Physical Demands

SIF requires extensive home computer and telephone time and usage, research, and writing. The position may also experience occasional domestic travel and may require the ability to travel by air or car.
